Nursing
Within 1-3 days of moving into Avenues, you will meet with one of our nurses. A health assessment will be completed and any medications you are taking will be reviewed. The nurse will answer any health care questions you have and help get appointments for you for checkups or to take care of any health issues. A nurse is on-site two times per week (Wednesday and Saturday mornings). You may visit with the nurse anytime you wish during these hours.
If you have health care concerns or needs when the nurse is not available, you should see a case manager or youth counselor.
Medications are kept locked in the case manager office and dispensed by our staff as prescribed. It is your responsibility to take your meds, though staff will do their best to remind you.
